The day started this morning with the air unit being dispatched to a 46 box for a gas leak inside.  Air 30(LT Murphy) went enroute with 5, while enroute command advised he had smoke inside the house.  The air arrived and sent the crew inside to check the furnace with the TIC.  Crews discovered a furnace malfunction, and the air ynit returned after about 30 minutes.  Then this evening while the air unit was returning from picking up dinner, box 30-1 was dispatched at 2730 Butler ST for a fire alarm.  With Air 30 was just around the corner with 3, crews went on scene with nothing showing.  Cooking from the neighbor had set off the fire alarm. Crews vented the structure and returned after 30 minutes.
