Busy Saturday for the 30 house
Sat. Jan 30th 2010

Today FADO (Fire Apparatus Driver Operator) Kibe, LT Murphy, Candidate FF Ward, and FF Cramer hit the town handing out flyers to the doors of citizens in the boro for our chicken bbq.  The crew and the wagon were out for about 3 hours, when gettin back in the rig at the Pensquare Apartments, a column of smoke was noticed.  Upon further investigation, the smoke was discovered coming form a house across the street.  The crew quickly got in and went on the air advising county of a possible structure fire.  Wagon 30 arrived at the corner of 31st & Canby in the 32-1 box, on Side A with its own hydrant, and sent a crew in to investigate.  While FADO Kibe was getting water supply ops ready, the LT found that it was a furnace malfunction and held to the wagon and Tower 32.  The wagon returned shortly later without incident.  the crews will be back out later this week to finish handing out flyers.
